Fundraising for Princes Trust

Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year. The Prince's Trust address this by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. The Trust help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training. The Prince's Trust helps disadvantaged young people to get their lives on track. It supports 13-30 year olds who are unemployed and thos struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law. The Trust's programmes give vulnerable young people the the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work. Three in four young people supported by The Prince's Trust move into work, education or training. The Prince of Wales's charity has helped more than 700,00 young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each day. Raising funds To continue the vital work of the Trust they need to raise £50 million this year and rely heavily upon generous giving and fundraising from a huge variety of people.
