We are Firefighters at East Midlands Airport, all on White Watch. We all take part in different physical activities from football, canoeing, running, triathlons to mountaineering and we have wanted to get together and do the National 3 peaks for a while and this is the year. We are raising money for the charity 'when you wish upon a star' they are a local charity and use the airport to fly out with the children on their trips to Lapland etc
Fundraising pageWhen You Wish Upon A Star is a small charity whose primary aim is to grant the Wishes of children suffering from life threatening illnesses and since we started in 1990, we have granted over 14,500 Wishes for some very brave and courageous children and their families. All children have Wishes, but for these children and their families that Wish is much more precious. Wishes are varied and far reaching. For some a trip to Disney Florida or Paris to meet their favourite characters, for others it is a chance to get up close to a favourite pop star or sporting hero and some children simply want books and toys. Whatever the Wish, wherever possible, When You Wish Upon A Star will aim to make that Wish a reality.
