Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge for Mum & Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice

Our Mum (Fee) sadly lost her battle with lung cancer on April 21, 2023. She was an incredible mum/wife/friend/person and we miss her desperately. Mum was admitted to Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice a couple of days before she passed and, although her stay was brief, she was treated with incredible kindness and respect; this was extended to the whole family. Amy (one of Fee's daughters) was due to have a wedding blessing at the Hospice and the nurses/staff all rallied around to organise the Chaplain, a photographer, and even snacks and bubbles. Although Mum passed before this could take place, the generosity and enthusiasm has not been forgotten, and so we wanted to do some fundraising - not only to remember the amazing woman we miss so much, but also to try and help the hospice that made her comfortable until the end. As a family, we will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on April 5, 2024 - a 24 mile round trip, including 5,200ft of ascent, to be completed in 12 hours... It's going to be incredibly difficult, but it's a small price to pay to show our love for a woman who gave so much to us while she was here. 15 of us will be taking on the challenge: Fee's kids, their husbands and wives, and her loving husband, Mick. Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice are independently funded so anything you can spare to donate will help them to be able to continue giving that crucial care and love to those who are approaching the end of their lives. They try their utmost to make everyone feel comfortable and as at home as they can be, despite the most awful circumstances. We'd love to be able to give back to them so that more families in the future can be as supported as ours was. It'll be an incredibly emotional day, so anything you can give will help us to feel encouraged and keep us going when it gets tough. Thank you so much in advance - all of us, and Mum (Fee), appreciate it hugely.
