South Africa Charity Trip 2024

So, after some thought and consideration I’ve made the decision that I’ll be returning to South Africa with CoCos Foundation in July. It’s been 5 years since I went the first time round, and it hasn’t stopped playing back in my mind. I’m trying to raise £2,800 for the trip, and to help in doing so I’ll be climbing the 3 Peaks in 3 Days in April ⛰️ Seeing how different communities live, how their everyday life differs so much from ours and how the simplest things make them so happy, is such a grounding life experience, and you really learn to appreciate the little things in life you’d usually take for granted. As part of the trip, we’ll be building a house for a family of 8, who currently live in a shack made of nothing more than branches, rocks, mud and tarpaulin. We’ll also be going around to local schools to supply new equipment and food parcels, and to local communities to help feed the kids, drop off food packages and supplies while being given an insight into what the charity does for the local people.
