This challenge has been on David's bucket list for the last 25 years and was originally going to be carried out with Christine, his wife of 40 years, however after a life changing fall Christine is no longer able to complete walks of this magnitude so David's close friend Andrew, who is also a keen walker, has willingly stepped in to enable David to attempt this challenge.
David completed the Coast to Coast walk a number of years ago in memory of a close friend who died of Pancreatic cancer at the age of 44, together with 4 other friends, raised in excess of £10,000 for the St. Catherine's hospice. David will raise funds for the same charity and Andrew, who is a full time employee for the RNLI will raise funds for his nominated charity.
The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, often in 24 hours.
