Fundraising pageOur mum/ Grandma was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease from the early age of 55, we are now raising money for an incredible cause `Cure Parkinson’s' by attempting this challenge: `The National 3 Peaks in 24 hrs!!' We will be attempting to climb the 3 highest peaks in Great Britain; Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (Lake district) and Snowdon (Wales) all within 24 hours and with no sleep! Our team of climbers consists of 7 family members (brothers, aunties, uncles, cousins etc) including our driver who will endeavour to drive our minibus between the peaks and through the night to help us complete this challenge. This will take place on Saturday 17 June 2023. Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. The underlying symptoms of Parkinson’s are treated with a range of medication, but currently none of these slow, stop or reverse the progression of the disease. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s and with the ultimate aim of restoring quality of life.
