in October 2021 our daughter suffered a life threatening TBI (Traumatic brain injury) we will be raising money for the children's trust for children with brain injury charity that has supported us and will continue to support us. we are a mixed ability group who is training hard and looking forward to this challenge and experience.
the children's trust was something I had never heard of let alone ever thought as a parent I would ever need to use. our beautiful daughter rivaya in October 2020 sustained a life threatening brain injury after a fall and had immediate surgery to relieve the pressure from her brain the risk and after effects from her surgery were potentially life changeing but someone that day was looking over her and as time has progressed with a few minor hurdles rivaya is looking to make a full recovery. the children's trust with weekly calls and a direct support line were amazing they worked alongside the consultants that had operated on rivaya and couldn't do anymore to support not just her bit us as parents aswell.
