DHL Cannock

Jack and Joe both aged 9 was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just over a year ago, we were devastated as anyone with children will understand, You never want your children to suffer with any illness/disease. Type1 Diabetes is an autoimmune disease which attacks the beta cells in the pancreas which stops it producing insulin. They both now have to inject themselves a minimum of 4 times a day and check blood sugar levels with a finger prick a minimum of 6 times a day. They are both doing amazing since being diagnosed and have really adapted well, they are our inspiration and motivation for this challenge. JDRF is a research charity for Type 1 to improve lives and eventually find a cure. We wanted a worthy challenge for this worthy cause so here we are doing the National three peaks challenge! Thank you to all our work colleagues doing the challenge with us; Martin Smith,Craig Joyce, Jason Aston, David Burton, Tony Evans, Darren Jones, Simon Haywood, Holly Golby not forgetting Tony Carter who will be driving us over 1000 miles, transporting us from peak to peak.
