MPN Voice Charity Challenge

This is our first time, as a group, climbing any sort of mountain (bar the exception of Hugo, who has climbed numerous mountains) and we are all friends and family aiming to complete the challenge in under 24 hours. Special thanks to our two drivers, Michelle Ritchie and Andrew Smart, as well who will be doing all the 'behind the scenes' work!

Fundraising for MPN Voice

MPN Voice funds research into myeloproliferative neoplasms and supports patients via education and advocacy. We are all fundraising for this charity as our friend, Florence Smith, currently suffers with ET and PV. These are the most common types of MPN. In these types of MPNs, blood production overheats, the body begins to produce high levels of ‘sticky’ blood cells. These abnormal blood cells adhere to each other and to blood vessel walls, clogging blood flow. High cell counts and sticky cells put people with these types of MPNs at high risk of heart attack, stroke and deep vein thrombosis. We are aiming to raise £1,000 in order to support MPN Voice in their aim to uncover information about the patterns of these cancers.
