We are a group of 10 staff from the maternity department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford plus 3 others who are all friends of Penny Lown who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We wanted to do something amazing and challenging to raise the profile of pancreatic cancer and support Penny's own charity work. We also want to support the Safe Delivery Fund at the Royal Surrey to raise funds for the Midwifery Led Unit there which Penny is passionate about and worked so hard to promote.
Fundraising pageAll the money we raise will be split 50:50 between the Safe Delivery Fund and Pancreatic Cancer Action. We are holding a number of events including 2 cake sales at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, a BBQ and a film night where a film made of the trip will be shown with popcorn and drinks!!
