Fundraising for CARE (Christian Action Research & Education)

CARE seeks to uphold human dignity and to support the most vulnerable people in society, engaging with politicians in the UK Parliaments & Assemblies in its advocacy work. CARE raises awareness of the issue of human trafficking and works for changes in the law and Government policies. CARE's work in this field focuses upon: -ensuring that survivors of exploitation are given adequate care and protection -tackling demand for human trafficking for sexual exploitation -strong action against those who exploit others -provision of special support for child victims CARE were actively involved in the development of new laws across the UK in 2015 including: -The Modern Slavery Act -The Human Trafficking & Exploitation (Scotland) Act -The Human Trafficking & Exploitation (Criminal Justice & Support for Victims) Act (Northern Ireland) However, with an estimated 10,000 - 13,000 victims of modern slavery in the UK, there is still much more to be done to tackle this appalling trade. We rely on the financial contributions of our generous supporters, who stand with us against human trafficking in the UK.
