Aber Law Trekkers

We are currently half way through our Law Degrees at Aberystwyth University, and we decided that we would like to give the Three Peaks a try. We have decided that as an added incentive for the challenge, that we would also try and raise money for two charities, ME research UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital, we are aiming to raise approx. £1000 each in aid of these charities, with what we raise being split evenly between them.

Fundraising for ME Research UK, Great Ormond Street Hospital

ME Research UK is a charity with the principal aim of commissioning and funding scientific (biomedical) investigation into the causes, consequences and treatment of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (also known as ME/CFS). This is a debilitating illness which affects between 120,000 and 240,000 people in the UK, but which is not well understood nor, in many cases, properly recognised. Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world-class care to hundreds of children every day. But they need to raise over £50 million every year to help give hope to very sick children and their families. GOSH. ME Research UK.
