Fundraising for Monica's Romanian Rescue

Monica's Romanian Rescue is based in Bucharest Romania. She rescues dogs from the streets and from Bucharest's municpal 'kill' shelters. Romania has many street dogs. Sometimes these are pets whose owners no longer want them and others have been born on the streets and fought to survive. Whilst on the streets, not only do these dogs have the daily struggle of finding food and shelter, they are at risk of being run over, freezing to death, or caught by the dog catchers who take them to one of Romania's municipal 'kill' shelters. Whilst in these kill shelters the dogs are starved, beaten, poisoned and many suffer a very slow painful death.Monica's Romania Rescue needs new shelter premises. Many of the dogs are living with Monica at her home and due to complaints from neighbours, they are at risk of being taken away from her and being put back in the kill shelters; something which we cannot allow to happen. Also, Monica also is paying a lot of money each month out to fosterers in Romania to care for the pups and dogs she cannot accommodate at her home. Monica needs our help to raise 15,000 euros to buy some land so she can move all her dogs to a safe and secure place. This would also mean that she wouldn't have foster bills to pay, and she would have the space to take more in. The premises she has seen as light and water and would make the ideal place for her dogs to live safely till homes are found. There is indoor space as well as lots of outdoor room for the dogs to exercise.
