SFHT

The team is made up of six Managers from the Stable Family Home Trust (SFHT). The team was formed at a Management meeting in January, when one Manager announced he "wanted a challgenge" for this year. "The Three Peaks?" another proposed and quickly he had five colleagues agreeing to join him. This is a real challenge for the team because in the words of another "it will be a miracle if we make it!!!" The team and Charity are very grateful for your support.

Fundraising for The Stable Family Home Trust (SFHT)

The Stable Family Home Trust supports people with a learning disability to lead ordinary lives with some extraordinary moments. SFHT is a charity that provides a range of support services including residential care, day services and domiciliary support. We believe that anyone can do anything and achieve anything as long as they have the right support. We support people in a wide, almost unlimited, range of activities - from sailing, fishing, zorbing, waterskiing and football through to artisan and leisure pursuits - dance, drama, art, music in many forms, pottery, craft, woodwork and many more. Everyone has a supported holiday each year - this can be a cultural trip in Europe, sunshine on a Spanish beach or a knees-up at Butlins! All of this has a price tag. Funds raised through the Three Peaks Challenge will enable us to improve the quality of life and lifestyle of the people we support. We focus on people as individuals; each person with a unique package of support, making choices and decisions about their lives and being valued as member of their local community. SFHT is fortunate to have an 'army' of volunteers who give their time so generously to enable people to have more individual help with tasks. We are very grateful to them and to our team of Managers who are giving up one of their precious weekends to help raise more funds for the Charity; to make a real difference in the lives of the people we support.
