Fundraising for Warwickshire Freewheelers & CMTS

The first is for the Warwickshire Freewheelers, they are run by volunteers who give up their free time to the charity and provide a free “out of hours” courier service to the NHS. The service they provide is run between the hours of 19.00 & 06.00 weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and bank holidays as there are no internal courier services or, a limited service that operates outside normal working hours. Currently, they transport blood, plasma, platelets, pathology samples, vaccines, medical documentation such as x-rays and frozen milk for new born babies. The second is for the Coventry Musical Theatre Society, a local amateur theatre group that is in its 102nd year of performing, the longest single running musical society in Coventry. This year the society will be putting on Oklahoma at the Belgrade Theatre in June 2013. The society is totally funded through ticket sales and any money that can be raised through social events or fundraising activities is a huge boost. The costs of putting on a show are always increasing, and luxuries such as theatre visits are becoming a thing of the past with people tightening their belts at present, so to keep the society pushing forward for those people that enjoy the theatre, finding extra revenue is a must.
