Mums up the Mountain

We’re a bunch of friends who for different reasons needed a challenge and the idea of climbing the Welsh Three Peaks seemed the solution!!! Some of us needed to lose weight, prove something to our families or just to ourselves and all in aid of a fantastic charity. And spending 24 hours together gossiping was too good of an opportunity to miss!!!

Fundraising for Brecon Mountain Rescue

Brecon Mountain Rescue Team is an emergency service staffed entirely by volunteers and funded by donation. We operate principally in mid Wales, working from the Brecon Beacons National Park north to Plynlimon, from the Welsh borderland westward, through mid Wales, to the Ceredigion coast, though we regularly work throughout south, mid & west Wales & around the English border. Our work is not restricted to mountain and wilderness search and rescue for climbers and hill walkers: our skills are also deployed by the police to search for vulnerable or missing persons in the community where we can employ our specialist medical and rescue techniques. I hope you agree they are a very worthwhile charity to support.
