International Superstar Playboys
About the group
The group has been assembled by Team Leader Gareth Robertson, we are walking for a variety of charities including Parkinson's UK, Oxfam UK, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Yorkhill Children's Foundation. We each have our own reasons for supporting our charities and collectively we are all interested in pushing ourselves to new limits, so the Three Peaks seemed a great way of doing some good and enjoying a new challenge.
Fundraising for various charities
Gareth and Ben are raising for Parkinson’s UK
Charity Registration No. 258197 and Scotland SC037554
Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s. Because we’re here, no one has to face Parkinson’s alone. We bring people with Parkinson’s, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information and training on every aspect of Parkinson’s. As the UK’s Parkinson’s support and research charity we’re leading the work to find a cure, and we’re closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependent on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Steve is raising for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
Charity Registration No. in England and Wales 209617 and Scotland SC038979
The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of blind and partially sighted people never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empowers visually impaired people to do that and relies totally on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. We breed and train guide dogs which provide life changing mobility and there are currently 4,500 working guide dog partnerships in the UK. The full lifetime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500. We will not rest until blind and partially sighted people can enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.
