We are a group of PE teachers and Rugby coaches from Ashfield School who are up for a laugh and are extremely competitive and love a good challenge. Some of the group have had personal experiences this year which have inspired us to complete the challenge to raise money for a couple of charities that are close to our heart
Teenage Cancer Trust
Young people can get some of the most rare and aggressive forms of cancer. Their rapidly growing bodies work against them, enabling the cancer to grow faster. The emotional upheaval of adolescence can make a cancer diagnosis even harder to cope with.
The Alzheimer's Society
Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, affecting around 496,000 people in the UK. The term 'dementia' describes a set of symptoms which can include loss of memory, mood changes, and problems with communication and reasoning. These symptoms occur when the brain is damaged by certain diseases and conditions, including Alzheimer's disease.
