We are a group of 6 hockey Players who have decided to complete the 3 peaks challenge. We have chosen to complete the challenge not only because it has been an ambition of most of us for a while, but to raise money to resurface our astro turf to ensure Hockey can continue at Taunton Vale for generations to come.
As a result of a change in the economic climate and the resulting withdrawal of certain government funding options, TVSC finds itself unable to afford the scheduled re-laying of the surface of the Astroturf hockey pitch. We now have just two years to raise sufficient funds to re-lay the pitch or there is a very real danger that for the first time in 30 years there will be no hockey at the Taunton Vale Sports Club.
