My name is Chris Andreou and I am part of a Trident Murder Investigation Team within the Metropolitan Police. We have assembled a team of 15 people from Trident who will be helping to raise money for Thusha, a five year old girl who was the innocent victim of a gang related shooting in South London. In March 2011 Thusha was playing in her Uncle's grocery shop with her parents standing nearby when a stray bullet hit Thusha in the chest and passed through her. Paramedics rushed to the scene and operated on her in the street, managing to bring her back to life. She was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery where Surgeons managed to save her life. Regrettably the tragic incident has left Thusha permanently paralysed from the waist down, along with a host of other serious medical conditions. Our team consists of 15 people and we all come in various shapes, sizes and ages but all with the same aim, to finish the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours. The challenge involves walking up three of the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales as a fund raising event. We do not have a money target for this challenge as Thusha's care will be ongoing throughout her life and she will need constant medical care, attention and specialised equipment.
