Three Peaks Challenge

I am 26 and live in Hinckley. I work as a Customer Liaison Officer for Morrison Utility Services. I did my first mountain climb in September 2010 and instantly knew I had a new hobby. It was during that first climb one of my brothers explained to me that people attempt to do the 3 highest peaks within 24 hours. I remember thinking - that’s bonkers, I want to do that! So here I am, less than 2 years later and quite excited at the prospect of completely exhausting myself all in the name of charity. I wanted to raise money for a children’s charity that is local to my area. I spent a lot of time researching and looking for a good charity that suited my tick list and eventually found Wishes for Kids. It’s a great charity providing happy memories to ill children. It’s nice to know that we can play a small part in putting a big smile on someone else’s face :)

Fundraising for Wishes For Kids

Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced life-changing physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below. Wishes 4 Kids has already granted hundreds of wishes for local children. Sadly we do not have a magical cure for the suffering of these youngsters, however, we can bring a short period of respite. The time when a child has a wish granted is a moment that will be treasured by them for the rest of their life. It is also a time which parents will remember - that time when their child forgot the suffering.
