Simon Wombwell National Three Peaks Challenge

In October 2021, Munro Building Services sadly lost their Health & Safety Manager, Simon Wombwell. Simon was an incredibly well respected member of the Munro team and is dearly missed. Simon suffered a sudden heart attack and leaves behind his wife, daughters and many more family and friends. Simon’s family nominated East Anglian Air Ambulance & Royal Papworth Hospital as charities they wish to support due to the care they provided for Simon. We wish to remember Simon and show our respect by trying to raise donations for the family’s elected charities. Simon was a genuine, kind and decent person with a life-long love of walking in the hills and mountains of Britain. His passion for wild, mountainous places was first kindled through the Scout movement. As a 17 year-old Venture Scout he fell 600 feet down Snowdon and miraculously survived. Despite the lasting injuries from this fall, his enthusiasm was not dampened and he continued to walk. This has provided inspiration for our fundraising activities.
