Fundraising for Mind Charity

We will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks, alongside a number of our friends, to raise money for Mind Charity! My Story, Leanne My relationship with my mental illness has taken me on a long journey of self understand, care and recovery. I have experienced my anxiety issues from the age of 7, and had intimitent times of depression. It took me looking for support to get the help I needed to find myself and what worked for me to ease my mind. In this time, I found the Mind Charity, and I reached out. I received the support needed to guide me to how to find help. From here, I was able to seek counselling and find confidence that there was a way of dealing with my mental health issues. Without the support I received from the charity, counselling, family and friends I wouldn't be living the happy life I am today and I am so grateful for that! So now, I am going to do what I can to give back in their time of need. I have done a number of fundraising events, but this one will be my proudest as I will be raising money for a charity that has given to me. Why support Mind Charity It goes without saying that this year has been a weird one. With all the horrendous events that have taken place, there has been a huge increase in people needing mental health assistance. People who previously experienced feeling it worse than ever. People who have never experienced it needing guidance and support with this new world. People struggling to find the support that suits them. Mind are working hard to cover this, not only are they ensuring that support is there when someone needs it, they are fighting for the government to revisit laws ensuring support will be there in the future. They are working hard to ensure all people feel they can reach out and find the support that suits them and their experiences. It is clear that now more than ever, social services need help to be able to fund all of this. And that's why this page is here! Thank you to anyone who is willing to give a little, as a thanks to the people who are trying their best to keep our minds safe and cared for. Your support is extremely appreciated! Update: If covid lockdown causes the plans to be cancelled, I will roll this over to the next date we choose to do the walk.
