Hi my name is Jon, and I am a recovering alcoholic. I am working with the staff towards a better future for myself. I live with a number of people who are also in recovery. I am looking to give back for all of the help I have received. I am living proof that your past does not dictate your future. I am wanting to help people like myself to overcome life's difficulties, and difficulties related to substance misuse. My aim is to raise some money, to provide my home with more activity to develop interests in hope it will occupy our minds, and help distract from our demons that we battle with every day. I hope to raise enough to provide a Pool Table for my home.
Fundraising pageRight Choice Housing is a service that provides safe and secure accommodation for people who struggle with homelessness, offending and addictions. Our aim is to provide a service that helps resettle our Service Users into independent living. He hope to help our clients build and develop their skills. While living in Supported Housing, residents are supported to: work with their addictions; gain volunteering opportunities; life skills, learn to manage own finances and to find move-on accommodation.
The Yorkshire Peaks Challenge involves climbing Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, often within 12 hours.
