Hi All, Welcome to our page! We have set ourselves the goal of completing the three peaks challenge which is a 24 hour attempt to climb the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales. Myself, Naz, Faisal and Ifzal are aiming to complete the challenge itself within 20 hours.
Fundraising pageOn the 17th June 2005 I lost my grandfather to Cancer after a long 10 year battle with the disease, so this challenge is in memory of him, Mohammed Sharif, who was a pillar of our family as a Grandfather, Father, and Uncle to the team. 11 years earlier Faisal also lost his Grandfather, Haji Abdul Rahman to Cancer, another pillar of the family. We aim to complete this challenge in loving memory of our loved ones and the millions of others affected by Cancer. Unfortunately Cancer effects one in every two people during their lifetimes be it the disease itself or a friend or family member effected by the disease and there is a new Cancer case in the UK every two minutes. Therefore we have chosen Cancer Research UK as our nominated charity to help fight against the disease. Any funds raised will be greatly appreciated. Training has now commenced and we have less than a month to get up to pace, wish us luck, we'll be needing every ounce of it !
