We all work on a Respiratory ward, caring for patients with different types of lung disease. We are raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. The team is a mixture of staff with different levels of fitness and we are all committed to encouraging each other with our planned challenge and the training we require beforehand. We are a supportive group of colleagues who work together on a very demanding ward and continue to work towards on going team building through difficult situations and at times challenging situations. This challenge will only improve the perseverance and commitment we have towards each of our colleagues to make our working day a brighter and better environment for ourselves, our patients and the NHS!
We will be raising money for lung cancer which is close to the hearts of all the staff. Each day we support someone newly diagnosed with lung cancer or support the family of someone who is in the process of losing someone to lung cancer.
The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, often in 24 hours.
