Fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

Every day 618 children and young people from across the UK arrive GOSH. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. And every day is a chance for us to make a difference. We are making that difference by setting ourselves the target of raising £16,000 to climb Kilimanjaro and this training weekend in Yorkshire is a step towards our goal. This is only a drop in the ocean of the financial support that GOSH requires. They face an incredible task of needing to raise £100 million every year to support the hospital, to remain at the forefront of paediatric medicine. My family knows all too well the support they can offer, as several years ago my cousins eldest son, Oscar, spent a large amount of time there receiving treatment for Leukaemia. Unfortunately he lost his battle to this horrible disease in 2006, just weeks after his 5th birthday. Both he and his family received fantastic support and this our opportunity to help this extraordinary charity.
