We all work for Horizon Construction and wanted to set a big challenge. We have many staff who are fit and active and this felt like a nice challenge for a bit of team work!
Fundraising pageHorizon had a very loved and long standing member of staff, Debbie, who was diagnosed with an aggressive glioblastoma (GBM) brain tumour. Having private health cover, Debbie underwent surgery and was treated at Harley Street Clinic, but survived just 13 months after diagnosis, passing away seven weeks before her daughter Vicky’s wedding, which she had been so involved in planning. Our chosen charity is Brian Tumour Research to try to give more people who get the devastating diagnosis of a brain tumour a better chance of survival so fewer families have to go through the same pain that Debbie and her family and friends did.
