Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. Across the UK over 47,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year – that's 129 men every day. Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that's more than 11,000 men every year. 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer UK have a bold ambition to stop prostate cancer from being a killer. And it’s through funding research that this will happen. They focus on specifically funding research in three key areas: better diagnosis, better treatments and better prevention. By tackling these areas, can make the biggest impact to men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.
