Although three of us are related, you would never know based on the height discrepancy, hence our choice of team name! While we are each taking part in this hike for slightly different reasons - for the challenge or to celebrate recent weight loss, together we hope to raise money and awareness of serious mental health conditions. A close family member has suffered from Schizophrenia for 12 years. He has had a particularly challenging time over the last 18 months and as a result has had to miss out on many family events.
Rethink have provided both support and information during our family member’s mental health journey. The staff members my family have met have all been very dedicated to the cause. One member of our team has raised money for this charity in the past and we are aiming to raise even more on this occasion.
