Bradfield Old Boys

The idea for this adventure is not born out of personal experience, nor is it inspired by a singularly inspirational person. As a team of old school friends we originally decided to do this as much out of a desire to actually do the challenge, as to support the incredible work of our chosen charity, 'Young Minds' which provides support for youth mental illness.

Fundraising for Young Minds

In the process of choosing a charity we researched different causes and became ever more shocked at the epidemic of depression and mental health among the youth. The sheer magnitude of it is terrifying, from the 20% of young adults who have a mental health disorder, to its absolute extremes of suicide, which is the single highest cause of death in males aged 5-19. There's also the added incentive that it is the 25th anniversary since the creation of 'Young Minds' charity and to mark this occasion, there is a huge drive to try and raise £2.5 million!!! It's a fantastic cause and if you want to learn more about what they do you can find out here. In support of this cause, we are trying to raise £2000, but any donation from you would be greatly appreciated to help us reach our goal and support 'Young Minds'!!
