About fourteen years ago I rescued my first German Shorthaired Pointer. She was 14 months old and had been left with a rescue charity as the previous owners could no longer cope with the destruction she caused when left alone. We learned a lot together. I learned of separation anxiety along with many other problems initially. Eventually Millie became my best friend and my shadow. I can’t say it was all easy but it was worth every day that I had her in my life. I cannot thank the charity enough for giving me the opportunity to have such a wonderful dog in my life so now with my current GSP I thought it was time for us to give something back to charity.
