About the group

Family and friends from North to South of the country, combining a diverse range of ages, backgrounds and professions with one common interest and goal, enjoyment in walking and outdoor pursuits.
Personal interest and aspiration to complete this event and challenge for three members in particular. Kate,Colin and Peter, all currently engaged with onset of different disorders in parents in the twilight of their lives and are either being cared for by family carers in their own home or by the magnificent efforts of staff and nurses in dedicated Care home provision.

All of us with a great sense of humour, good levels of fitness and experience (National 3 Peaks for some already completed) and the want to achieve for others and enjoy ourselves

Fundraising for Dementia UK

Dementia is an umbrella term used to describe a range of progressive neurological disorders, that is, conditions affecting the brain. There are many different types of dementia, of which Alzheimer’s disease is the most common. Some people may have a combination of types of dementia. Regardless of which type is diagnosed, each person will experience their dementia in their own unique way.
