Fundraising for Project Trust

I am raising money for Project Trust, an educational charity which has been sending around 300 school leavers each year to work as volunteers in Africa, Asia and Latin America since 1967. Working with partners overseas, projects are carefully chosen to ensure the Volunteers’ skills can be put to good use in their host communities and do not take work away from local people. Project Trust provides all Volunteers with training and support before, during and after their time overseas, to maximise both the educational value of their experience and the positive impact they have in their projects and host communities. I have been selected to volunteer for 8 months in 2018 at Boys' Town School near Durban in South Africa (founded by Bishop Orsmond in 1958) which is part of a world-wide organisation and philosophy where the boys are encouraged to develop their sense of belonging and understanding of community. For the boys who live there - it may be their last chance to escape from a life of neglect and abuse.
