Three Peaks Challege in Memory of Kay Mowbray

We are a group of 8 family and friends making up the 6 walkers and 2 drivers. Our experience ranges from those who’ve never done mountain walking before to some old hands, but we’ve put the training in and we’ll be ready! Many of us have someone close who has been touched by cancer at some point and have our different reasons for taking on a huge challenge but we are all keen to raise as much as possible for Cancer Research UK.

Our challenge is in memory of Kay Mowbray, Richard's Mum and Paul's mother-in-law. All who knew Kay remember her as a fun, loving person with a huge enjoyment for life. Kay was diagnosed with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer in June 2013, having 'beaten' the disease 12 years ago. Sadly, it was particularly aggressive and she lost her battle just 3 months later. Our team is committed to trying to raise as much money for Cancer Research UK from this challenge in order to help them find ways to beat this disease that impacts on so many peoples’ lives. Research gave Kay 12 years she might not have had, in which she saw four grandchildren born and grow into fantastic children. With more research maybe she could have had the years to see them become adults. With your help that may be true for the next generation.
