BBC Workplace & Safety 3PC for Children in Need 2013

Colleagues from the BBC Workplace and Safety group doing a team Three Peaks Challenge. Team members bring with them an interesting mix of speed, stamina, naked ambition and dress sense, and are united by the common goal of completing the challenge within 24 hours and raising money for Children in Need. Preparations for the challenge have included some practice sessions in Wales, The Peak District and The North Circular but with a particular focus on deciding which brand of instant 'just add boiling water' pasta to sustain the team enroute between Peaks. Other products are available.. The walkers are supported by two dedicated drivers - who are also in charge of catering!

Fundraising for BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need is a charity registered in England and Wales (802052) and Scotland (SC039557) whose aim is to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. BBC Children in Need’s vision is that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential. We will realise this vision by supporting, promoting and publicising work that addresses the challenges that children and young people face and work that builds their skills and resilience. We are currently supporting c.2,700 projects that are working with children facing a range of disadvantages for example, poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people. For every penny you give, a penny goes to disadvantaged children & young people.
