4 members of Greenwood and Brown Veterinary Surgery, plus 1 husband, from Pontefract in West Yorkshire, not forgetting our superb support team of 2 who got us where we needed to be at the time we needed to be there! We enjoy getting out and doing physical challenges - new stuff for some who had never ridden bikes or climbed mountains before. And if we're putting some effort in why not raise some money for a good cause. We started with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Coniston Challenge 2 years ago, 2 of us cycled Lands End to John o' Groats for the local hospice and the RNLI last year, then a "practice run" at the Yorkshire 3 Peaks last year "just for fun" and then this year, the National 3 Peaks for a local hospital childrens ward after the boss's baby daughter was diagnosed with a severe liver problem. So far for this last charity we have raised nearly £1500, thanks to the generosity of families, friends and our lovely clients.
23 hours and 18 minutes
The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, often in 24 hours.
