Millers Miles

Five very good friends from the age of 4 set out on a journey in hope to raise lots of money and awareness to cancer. Like most 25 year old's you never expect cancer to effect you or anyone close to you- it always happens to someone else. But recently, the reality of cancer hit close to home when one of our very good friends got diagnosed with skin cancer. It was an awful shock and suddenly the dangers of UV exposure became very apparent. Unfortunately, we learnt the hard way, but our primary aim is to ensure the chances of this happening to other young people is decreased through awareness of sun exposure and the consequential effects that can be devastating. Please support us and our mission when we set out to complete Millers Miles, we will need it with Alex in tow (the most lethargic, ill prone girl on earth).

Fundraising for Skin Cancer Research Fund (SCaRF)

SCaRF was founded in 1979 by two individuals, one of whom, Tony Hancock had lost his wife from malignant melanoma and the other was Denis Bodenham FRCS the Consultant Plastic Surgeon who had treated her. The object was, and still is, to raise money for research into the causes, prevention and treatment of skin cancer, especially melanoma and to raise awareness of the condition
