Fundraising for Progressio ICS

I'm raising money for the international development charity Progressio, an international development charity that seeks to help poor and marginalised people empower themselves and improve livelihoods that are in jeopardy because of numerous factors such as poverty, migration and violence.

In October I will be going to El Salavdor for 12 with Progressio. This is part of the International Citizen Service (ICS) scheme, which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed. El Salvador, as I'm sure you are are, has faced a great deal of hardship. I'll be working alongside volunteers and local people in El Salvador. This is not a holiday, and although I am only going for a relatively short amount of time, I will be part of a much bigger, long-term programme; I will be continuing the work of ICS volunteers before me, and will then pass this on to those who come after. ICS and I can thereby make a real, positive impact of the lives of those less fortunate.
