Thorpe Park Medical Team 2013

We are a team of everyday people that work well together (this may change after this challenge!) Myself, Deya and Connor work together on a regular basis as we are in the same team, We do see Luke from time to time as he is one of our Loss Prevention officers at work. We are all differat shapes and sizes and see this as a real challange. We cant wait to do something amazing for a charity we know so well.

Fundraising for Merlin's Magic Wand

This Charity delivers magical experiences to seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children across the world. Merlin’s Magic Wand was formed in 2008 and is the charity of Merlin Entertainments Group. Merlin Entertainments Group supports the charity by providing free tickets and by encouraging the involvement of all its employees. All Merlin attractions around the world work hard on behalf the charity, supporting the trips these children make and raising funds to help the charity’s work. What Merlin do as a Charity Days Out Many children, through illness, disability or other disadvantage, are not able to experience things that other children take for granted. By providing tickets and financial support, Merlin’s Magic Wand aims to ensure that these children can enjoy magical days out with their friends and family at Merlin Entertainment Group’s attractions across the world. The tickets that we distribute must go directly to children, families and organisations that will benefit from a day out. We are therefore unable to provide tickets to other charities to assist them with their fundraising through raffles and auctions. Taking the Magic to the Children Our outreach initiative focuses on bringing “Merlin Magic” to those children who are physically unable to visit the attractions. These take the form of tailor-made installations at organisations such as children’s hospices, to create lasting benefits for the children and create strong links to the community for both Merlin’s Magic Wand and the local attraction. Installations take many forms but can include such things as a Merlin-themed play area or a SEA LIFE sensory room.
