Trowbridge troopers

We are the trowbridge troopers, four young guys looking for a challenge! A few of us have had expirience with hiking before with the Ten Tors and hiking with the air cadets but over the last few years havent done a lot of hiking so we thought we needed to set a challenge for ourselves! We have John, the oldest member of the group, who is a fireman in leicester and has very little hiking experience but plenty of stamina and moral boosting 'banter', Alex is a self employed carpenter, he has a lot of drive passion for this and experience of ten tors and im marcus, team leader, iv completed Ten Tors twice, once as the team leader, i have expirience of mountain climbing in both Wales and Scotland and feel confident about getting this team through our training up and down all three mountains! we also have the driver/cook/tea brewer, stuart, he jumped at the chance to help out as long as it didnt involve any hiking!

Three Peaks Challenge

I am 26 and live in Hinckley. I work as a Customer Liaison Officer for Morrison Utility Services. I did my first mountain climb in September 2010 and instantly knew I had a new hobby. It was during that first climb one of my brothers explained to me that people attempt to do the 3 highest peaks within 24 hours. I remember thinking - that’s bonkers, I want to do that! So here I am, less than 2 years later and quite excited at the prospect of completely exhausting myself all in the name of charity.
I wanted to raise money for a children’s charity that is local to my area. I spent a lot of time researching and looking for a good charity that suited my tick list and eventually found Wishes for Kids. It’s a great charity providing happy memories to ill children. It’s nice to know that we can play a small part in putting a big smile on someone else’s face :)

Three Peaks Challenge

My name is Rachel, I’m 27, and live in a town called Hinckley in Leicestershire. I work as a Data Capture Technician for the East Midlands Gas Alliance. I enjoy being active by going to the gym, walking, and bike riding. I also enjoy T.V and film and socialising with my friends. I like to set myself difficult challenges at work, home, and at play. That way I’m always on my toes and life is more exciting.

The main reason I choose this charity is because they are providing support for one of my work colleagues with her daughter’s cancer. She says that they are doing an amazing job and have made her turmoil that little easier to deal with. Without the help of CLIC Sergents she says she would not be able to cope. I want to raise money for CLIC so they can continue to support families like my colleagues.

4 lads, 2 drivers, 3 countries, 3 peaks, 11516m of ascent, 26 miles of
walking, 10 hours driving, 1 charity.

We're 4 normal guys (Nat, Marcus, Gaz & Stephane) that are looking to

Thank you to <a target="_blank" href="http://www.pentos.co.uk/">Pentos</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.apogeecorp.com/">Apogee Corporation</a> whose
joint corporate sponsorship has ensured that this challenge will take place!

3 Peaks Challenge

On the 31st of May 12 Me and my robust Team will be attempting the 3 Peaks Challenge and aiming for a good time, for 2 dedicated Charities H4H and the Mark Wright Project. These both help Military personnel during and after service in the Armed Forces. This is an excellent oppotunity to show our dedication and Team Ethos working together (in a mixed team of 2 Para, 3 Para and 216 (Para) Sig Sqn). Being in the Armed forces we're always put through challenges big or small, and we always see them through to the end!! Like we get tought there is no i in team. Without raising for these charitires like these, then it would just make it harder for our service women and men to get back on there feet.
