Hawkes' Hill Hikers

This challenge is due to take place on Saturday, 30 June, 2012.

About the group

Well we all spent way too much time in public houses drunk/ hungover in 2011 so this is an attempt to change things up a bit, get fit and healthy in the great outdoors and raise some money for charity in the process!!!!

Fundraising for Ataxia-Telangiectasia Society

Ataxia-Telangiectasia (“A-T”) is a rare, neurodegenerative and progressive condition which starts in early childhood causing severe disability and premature death. It affects many parts of the body robbing the child of his/her independence. A wheelchair is needed usually by the age of ten.

The A-T Society's objective is to find a cure or treatment for A-T but it is also committed to supporting families affected by the condition as well as improving quality and length of life through our two specialist A-T clinics.

As you may know, my sister Michele suffered with A-T. Michele touched the lives of so many people, and lived such a full and happy life.  She is in my thoughts everyday. The A-T Society was a great support to our family, and I want to do all that I can to help them continue their priceless work.
