Three Peaks Challenge Registrations

19.05.24 In may select members of the team will be completing the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge. The challenge is a 24-miles round trip route, and includes 1585m of ascent. Talking about mental health can be out of your comfort zone, which is why we are partaking in a challenge which is out of ours, in solidarity. We want to help erase the stigma of male mental health, showing it’s okay to talk. Our mission is to raise money for the charity, providing them with funds to make a difference. With the money they can provide signs just like the one seen on the bridge towards Morrisons in town centre, posters and train stickers to show men it is okay to talk. They can also begin to open more clubs, providing men with a safe place to attend. We have chosen this charity as male mental health has affected a majority of our small team, with some partners losing a loved one or knowing someone who is struggling mentally. When choosing to pick this charity as our store charity for the year, 4/10 staff members spoke about losing a family member or friend to suicide, the common ground was that each of those were male. This charity is very close to past and present staff members hearts, collectively we want to help make a difference. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, we have already had such an amazing turnout in our store and can’t wait to raise more for these amazing men!
