Red Watch, Kirkwall Airport

This challenge took place on Friday, 20 May, 2011.

Time completed: 23 hours, 35 minutes.

About the group

We are six firefighters from Kirkwall Airport in Orkney. One of our colleagues has been diagnosed with cancer, along with others in our group who have had cancer affect their lives. We decided to do this challenge in aid of Cancer Research, and we hope to raise over £6000 by the time we have collected all of our sponsors and donations. After Snowdon we came across a youth hostel where we were able to get dried off and enjoy a celebration drink. The feeling of elation when we finished is hard to describe. The Three Peaks really is a challenge.
